🗺️ Regional Dynamics

While the global culinary landscape is expanding, current revenue is concentrated in a few powerhouse regions. Europe continues to hold its position as the spiritual and economic heart of the market, accounting for between 32.18% and 35.1% of the global share. This dominance, which generates up to €250 billion annually, is built on a foundation of mature infrastructure, protected heritage designations, and highly subsidised agritourism networks.

Asia-Pacific is currently the fastest-growing market on the planet. It has already captured a massive 43.1% of the holistic revenue share, injecting approximately $400 billion into the global economy. Driven by the meteoric rise in street food culture in nations like Thailand and the deep traditions of Japan and China, APAC’s growth is moving at a CAGR of up to 16%.

In the Americas, the United States remains a heavy hitter, generating up to $150 billion in economic output. Looking further south, Latin America is on a steady climb, projected to reach $150 billion by 2028. Meanwhile, the Middle East is aggressively positioning itself as the new frontier for luxury dining; countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi are utilising state funding to launch new gastronomic destinations under the MICHELIN umbrella.

👣 Tour Structure

The average culinary-focused trip now lasts 5-6 days, with travellers hitting an average of 3-4 dedicated food destinations during their stay.
